The challenge of 2020!
At the beginning of 2020, we were really starting to increase our bootcamp numbers as well
as our small group numbers. As far as our small business was concerned, 2020 was going to
be a great year according to our early numbers.
Then Corona regulations happened. Like many small businesses, we were forced to close
our door to any incoming traffic for 2 1/2 months. At this point, it was to find a way to keep people
motivated or just sit and wait until the Governor said we could open our doors again.
With crisis comes opportunity, we started a youtube channel, we made workout videos and
posted those videos on our youtube channel for our clients. We then incorporated zoom
workouts as an option for those that wanted to have more of a personal connection; not quite
like in person but we could all see each other which was motivating and more fun.
So, my question is what have you done to make changes during this Corona rule mandated
One of the things that does not get talked enough about on social media is how our health and
fitness level make a very big difference in the symptoms you might get if you are a positive
carrier of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. There are exceptions to any rule but in most cases
underlying conditions were a big factor in the severity of the symptoms and the increased
So, how do we start making changes? As a Holistic Health Coach, I make a point of asking a lot
of questions before I start working with clients. There is so much misinformation that has been
delivered through mainstream media that even the brightest and most knowledgeable clients
don’t realize how detrimental their lifestyle is to having a good and energetic life. It is through
these questionnaires that I get to dig deep and see what might be keeping the client stuck in
their current place in which they are seeking change to get out of.
Some of my basic questions are how much good quality water do you drink? How many
sugary drinks do you drink a day? Are the fruits and vegetables you eat mostly organic?
Do you eat a lot of processed foods? Do you buy animal products that are grass-fed and free-range or pastured? Do you use organic dairy? How well do you sleep? Do you hold anger in or
let things go? Do you have gastrointestinal problems? How much caffeine do you consume?
2020 is the year to start becoming a healthier version of yourself as well as assisting your
family in becoming healthier. The key thing is to remember you are what you eat. You are
making brain cells, heart cells, lung cells out of what you are putting in your mouth whether
that is sugar-laden cereals or a meal made only from organic foods. You are designing your
energy system to be creating energy or sucking energy from yourself. You are creating bones
that are supporting or not and muscles that hold up and support your boney structures or not.
Take 2020 like we did at B-Fit and use this Corona crisis to learn how to make big changes.
